This week in Reading Workshop we are exploring reading just for fun!! That's right, we are reading for enjoyment! I am reading aloud to the students. They are reading to themselves and we are reading to partners! We are sharing our favorite stories and talking/telling friends about what we've read.

This week in Writer's Workshop we are going to write a How to... (Procedural writing) on How to Make Hot Chocolate! It's going to make us all want Hot Chocolate!

This week in Word work we will continue to review/assess sight word vocabulary on each child's level.

This week in Math we will work on Comparing and Ordering numbers as well as problem solving activities this incorporate skill. We will play games to reinforce the comparing and ordering skill.

This week in Social Studies we will finish our unit on Celebrations around the world. We will end our unit with Polar Express Day. Your child may wear weather appropriate pajamas on Friday. We will read The Polar Express and then watch the movie. We will do different activities during the day that compare the movie and the book!

Have a great Winter break!
